- A Spotify playlist of all of the music mentioned in Patti Smith’s Just Kids. Note to self: I really need to jump in and play around with Spotify already. (I know, I know).
- This is a very long, excellent piece on the “death” of postmodernism. It may not float your boat, but man does it float mine.
- This DC stereotypes map is a pretty good indicator that the Social Studies DC blog (an arm of Living Social) will be run by people who actually live in and understand the city. One good infographic and I’m suddenly much more interested in this project.
- Sci fi movie sound guys from the 50s and 60s must feel REAL vindicated right about now. THAT’S ACTUALLY WHAT SPACE SOUNDS LIKE!! Who knew?
- How Wale’s new mixtape got super popular and broke the inanet.
- Google’s stepping into content, by means of, what else? A music blog! Integrated with Google Music and Google+. Color me intrigued. Second note to self: really gotta test out Google music, too. Is it so wrong that I’m still totally happy with my iPod? IS IT!?!?
- A lot of things in this world just don’t make sense. Like this thing, which makes absolutely no sense at all.

Thank you for reminding me about this Just kids playlist, which I’m listening to right now.
patti smith is such a legend. writer, poet, singer, songwriter, and godmother of punk… she has literally become a staple in modern society. I’m so happy to see that she has a new album coming out that features her life’s greatest work.. because kids that have no idea who she is (absurd, i know!) will have the chance to discover her the way we all did in previous years!
