Pictureplane, Teengirl Fantasy, Gatekeeper and DJ Dog Dick took over Club Hippo in Baltimore on Sunday. The Deep in the Game DJs hosted a beautiful show, complete with dark-wave dancers, laser light show and an insane amount of fog.
Dj Dog Dick took a break from recording new material in NYC to come home and slime the Hippo with epic raps over grimy noise beats.
Gatekeeper ‘s spooky but sultry sound had everyone on the dance floor, soaking up the minimal dance vibes, a crazy amount of fog, and basking in the glow of a beautiful blue laser.
I would have shot more photos of Teengirl Fantasy, aka “Oberlin’s house heroes”, but I was busy dancing. The warm dance vibes that shine through on 7am were even better live. They played an amazing version of my favorite song on the album,” Dancing in Slow Motion“.
Pictureplane. Yes. This set was everything I was looking forward to and more.
Sing those new songs from Thee Physical and play the songs I want to hear from Dark Rift. Perfect.
Add dancers in dark mesh and face masks doing synchronized slow moves on each side of the stage. Yes.
Make me feel like this club is a spaceship.
